Blood donation is a lifesaving act of utmost importance, providing critical support for patients in emergencies, surgeries and treatments. Each donation can save multiple lives, making it essential to ensure a constant available supply for those in urgent need. The NSS understands this issue and undertakes several blood donation camps in HBTU to solve this problem, and our current Student Secretary Aryan Tiwari has continued and added to this legacy of blood donation undertaking.

Every year millions of lives are lost due to lack of access to blood for treatment. Lack of blood for treatments contributes to thousands of preventable deaths, each year, specially in low resource settings. For instance, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has reported that nearly 10 million units of blood is needed every year world wide to meet patient needs.

This is why regular blood donation is so vital. Each donation can help save multiple lives, whether in surgeries, trauma care or cancer treatments. National service scheme recognises this urgency and organises blood donation drives, ensuring a continuous blood supply while fostering a sense of responsibility in communities through these efforts , NSS not only saves lives, but also spreads awareness about the importance of donating blood, making a significant life changing impact.

Thus a simple act of donating blood can make an extraordinary difference in saving lives and supporting those in critical need , through initiatives like blood donation drives organised by NSS. We become a part of a larger movement, dedicated to preserving life and fostering a compassionate and healthy society.

Aryan Tiwari and his team deserves a special mention for carrying out the necessary preparations for undertaking blood donation camps and making it a huge success.
