"Choose to be kind over being right." NSS HBTU organised an induction programme for the newly admitted students in order to install a sense of responsibility and empathy by making them aware of societal issues and encouraged them for a positive contribution towards the society. Our team explained about all the social service programs, environmental conservation activities and health and hygiene drives organised by NSS. Freshers were introduced with various volunteer and leadership roles offered by our community. The event was huge success and motivated many to work with our community in order to serve the society.

During the induction, students were encouraged to participate in various activities such as cleanliness drives, environmental awareness campaigns, and community welfare programs. The event also featured motivational talks by distinguished speakers, interactive sessions on teamwork and leadership, and an overview of past NSS projects at HBTU. Senior volunteers shared their experiences, inspiring new students to actively contribute to society through NSS. The program concluded with an oath-taking ceremony, where students pledged to uphold the values of selfless service and work towards the betterment of the community.

This induction program served as a stepping stone for first-year students to engage in meaningful social work while developing essential life skills. By joining NSS, students not only get the opportunity to serve the community but also enhance their leadership, communication, and organizational abilities, making their university journey more enriching and impactful
